Who we are
This website is operated by Bretland Consulting Ltd (“we”, “us”), trading as Exmoor AI. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14465449, and are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about this policy or your data through our contact page.
What we collect
When you use the contact form or book a free health check, we collect the details you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number if provided, the type of business, what you need help with, and the content of your message. If you complete the AI health check, we also collect your name, organisation, email address, phone number and your answers, together with the scores and results the tool produces. If you book a call, our scheduling provider also records the time you choose. Our website host may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it and why
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange and hold calls, and, if you become a client, to provide our services and manage our relationship with you. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where you ask us to provide a service, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Unless you tell us not to, we may also send you occasional emails about running a business with AI, and we may contact you about your results. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by replying to any email or contacting us through our contact page.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run this website and our business: our website host, our email provider (Gmail) and our scheduling provider (Google Calendar). They process data only on our instructions. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for up to six years after our work ends, to meet legal and accounting obligations. Health check results are kept for up to 24 months after we last had contact with you, then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within one month.
Cookies and browser storage
This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work. We use analytics only if you accept them through our consent banner. If we add any non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first. See our cookie notice for full details.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
